Success it not achieved easily, you have to work for it and on the way you may fail but you can come back even stronger, there are many people in life that can prove this point. Failure doesn’t have to be negative as long as you look at what you did wrong and learn from it. The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Everyone one fails in their life at one point or another. Failure also causing growth and maturity because you will be exposed to new and better understanding. DNA is result of endless failure proving that failure is a part of genetic makeup of life. Lessons learned through failure are the most valuable lessons that you can collect through your life. Some of the most successful people in the world once went through a failure that they learned and grew from.Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. Before earning this name or success he went through some hardships. While attending Emsley A. Laney High School Michael Jordan was cut from his school’s varsity basketball team. But this didn’t stop him he continued to work and improve his craft. At the time he was only 5’11 he was deemed too short to play varsity basketball therefore he was placed on the JV team where he had multiple 40 point games. He continued to work and grow, eventually in junior year he first played varsity and in his senior year was named an McDonald’s All-American. He went on to play for the University of North Carolina where he hit the game winning shot to win the 1982 NCAA Championship. He went on to the NBA winning five MVPs and six NBA Championships. He also has a famous quote about failure,”I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over again in my life. And that’s why I succeed.”There are a number of people who failed before having ultimate success. Oprah a billionaire with her own TV channel and a penchant for giving away cars. Before Oprah became a billionaire she was fired from her first tv job as a anchor in Baltimore. Oprah reflected on her experiences with failure turning to success in a speech at Harvard, “There is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move us in another direction.” Walt Disney was very important and still is to somes childhood. Walt would have been nothing if he listened to his former newspaper editor. The editor told Walt he ‘lacked imagination and had no good ideas’. Undeterred, Old Walt went on to create the cultural icon that bears his name. After becoming successful Disney said, “I think it’s important to have a good hard failure when you’re young… Because it makes you kind of aware of what can happen to you. Because of it I’ve never had any fear in my whole life when we’ve been near collapse and all of that. I’ve never been afraid.” This quote shows that failure ultimately helps you grow in life. They’re three different ways that failure helps you grow in life. Failure is a function of trying, success lies in seeing failure as a tool, and failure builds character. When you look at some of the most successful people in the world you will realize that they have once failed. Henry Ford the founder of the Ford Motor Company said “Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently.” Success is about learning how to recognize why you failed, and how you’re going to compensate for it. Just as the Colorado River created the Grand Canyon over a period of millions of years, success can also come in small chunks, and they’re part of any winning strategy. On the other hand, waiting years upon years for something to happen isn’t effective when you can take action now.In conclusion, success does not come easy but you can learn from your mistakes. The most successful people went through hardships that they learned from that lead to their ultimate success. Failure can be helpful to you because it helps to redefine your priorities in life. When you fail you reorder the things that matter to you, you come to realize what matters to you most. The redefinition of priorities is a big step in overcoming failure. If you really want to succeed you will make the necessary adjustments to do it. Also from failure you learn to manage your time better. Through my failure I discovered that I was not an effective manager of my time. People need proper time management in order to succeed. Also through failure you recognize your bad habits. I had a bad habit of procrastinating. Bad habits can ruin your chance of success in anything. But when you recognize your bad habits you learn to change your behavior to get rid of this bad habit that holds you back from success. The only way to fail completely is to give up completely.
