Maonica is smart, proactive and hardworking. Albeit an engineer with one and a half years of professional experience, Maonica has proved herself technically. She is always positive and goes the extra mile to get the job done. In a couple of instances where the work involved coordinating with external teams and making technical decisions, she single handedly represented the team without much help.
In my past experience, I have come across people with similar experience level, who would just finish their work without any knowledge of why they were asked to do it. Unlike others, Maonica tries to get a good idea of the product’s value proposition, key features and business goals, before committing to what has been asked of her. There have been a number of instances where both of us have discussed product features in length. On many occasions she has unique insights into how the product should be built and the possible corner cases and loopholes that need to be looked at. Her leadership skills and persistence towards success makes her different from the lot. She is someone who never gives excuses and takes up challenges no matter how tough they are. For the last EORS, she single handedly took up a big feature, Early Bird discounts, and worked meticulously to deliver it.
She took initiative and discussed the project idea with the business team, explained to them the tech limitations they might have to live with and finalised on the discounting feature acceptable to them. She proactively coordinated with the dependant teams, came up with contracts and tech design of the feature, guided the testing activities and delivered the feature well within the peculiarly tough deadlines. This won her accolades from the business and technical team for the leadership she had shown in handling the project.She grasps concepts very quickly and this makes her a useful asset for the team and for time sensitive jobs. Around 4 months ago, we had a situation where the person handling Myntra’s Referral Service had unexpectedly left the team, leaving no one to handle the service. Maonica jumped at the opportunity, volunteering to handle it and quickly learned the needful. She now handles Referrals apart from her regular work. Maonica is quite eager to learn various technologies and business processes and I believe that quality of hers will help her have a great future wherever she lands up.
She very often sits with members of different teams to understand their work and thereby tries to figure out where the processes of her team fit in the entire work process. Maonica is a very social and an enthusiastic person. She seeks to develop lasting professional relationships with her colleagues, and constantly endeavors to maintain those relationships. She has volunteered to be team’s engagement coordinator and has organised a number of team outings and get togethers. She is also part of the engagement committee of the Tech team of Myntra and has helped organise a lot of events and activities on various occasions.
Overall, I can confidently say that she will be an asset to any team or organisation that she is part of.
