I am fascinated by the creation of my surroundings. Being enthusiastic to learn everything isgreat. However, seeking the knowledge of “how” is more valuable.
Mathematics and sciences are an enjoyable challenge, an area where I can invest my creativityinto criticising and solving problems like global warming, technology and health and on asmaller scale, like simplifying maths problem to my classmates. In summer 2017, I become a member of the International Space School Education Trust, MissionDiscovery. I had the chance to be a real scientist and an engineer by using innovative ideasand exploring different fields deeply to improve the lives of astronauts and scientists insidespace crafts to send it to NASA to test it in zero gravity, while competing with hundreds ofstudents. I learnt the importance of the design of space crafts, space suits, engineeringrailways and the process of choosing the materials for a specific job. Moreover, It isinteresting to share an apartment with students from different cultures. I moved myself out ofmy comfort zone as I was the only member who does not speak English fluently and studiedA-levels in Arabic.
Also, putting myself in an environment full of scientists and engineerslike Michael Foale and Sarah Murray, listening to their stories and where they are now is aprivilege. I became more interested in design and materials and how to use my degree and planmy career. Moreover, I realised the effect of an individual on the quality of a project. I am a locally certified training coach from Makers Academy belonging to Creative bits -Mother company of E-Robot and snowball software. I find myself talented in analytical thinking. Luckily, I was nominated for 3 localMathematics competitions and became the high school representative. The academic and socialskills in my school environment affected my contribution to the school’s reputation.
science programs in Kuwait are for students/graduates only so during my visits to Kuwaitscientific centre I taught visiting children simple physics. children questions areimaginative; they made me research about the methodology of engineering products and buildingsand the creation of the universe. I value the responsibility I have towards my community; I’m volunteering in AlKharafi activitykids centre, an environment that ensures the right to play for children with diverseabilities. My passion led me to search in depth on the of technologies and creative designs ofbuildings’ impact on different members.
Also, I joined the Eco-Friendly committee by LOYAC, anon-profit organization. Moreover, I design recycling boxes for my school.Aside from academia, I enjoy playing guitar and oud, drawing, solving puzzles and playingbasketball. At 9 years old, I started sketching designs, products and portraits. I can balancebetween studying and investing my talents in school events and outdoor live shows.
After my degree, I envision myself in internships and master degrees in more engineeringfields. I aim to work in modern projects like Tesla, building modern cities with hightechnology and safety, build the smartest telescope, become a part of building the
