I do not stand on same-sex education.

IfI was the parent of a school-age child, I would not choose to send him/her to asame-sex school or classroom. My strongest argument against same-sex educationwould be that it reduces boys’ and girls’ opportunities to work together andinteract with one another. I want my children to grow up and go to school withboys and girls and learn that there is no difference between them besides theobvious biological differences. I want them to know that they are equals, thatboys are not better than girls and vice versa.

I want my possible futuredaughter to know that she can do anything a boy can do. I want him/her to strivefor their goals and dreams no matter if it supposed to be a more genderdominant job.             There are two factors as to why theOrthodox Church usually celebrates Easter or Pascha later than the Westernchurches. The calendar issue is the first factor. When calculating the date ofPascha, the Christian Orthodox Church still follows the Julian calendar (Magoulias,2016). Whereas the rest of Christianity uses the Gregorian calendar, which hasa thirteen-day difference between the two calendars (Magoulias, 2016). Thesecond factor is the devotion by the Orthodox to the early practices of theChristian church. The rule was that Pascha must take place after the JewishPassover to maintain the Biblical sequence of Christ’s Passion.

This rule was setby the First Ecumenical Council, in Nicea in 325 AD (Magoulias, 2016).              The difference between the twoparagraphs is that the first one is my own opinion and the second one is afactual. In my opinion paragraph I use the word “I” making it more opinionatedtowards how I feel about the topic, creating my own bias. Within my factualparagraph, to support the topic, I found an article that backs it up to supportit. The way a reader would know if one statement is an opinion and one isfactual is, because a fact is a statement that can be proven true or false, andan opinion is centered around an individual’s emotions that cannot be proven.
